It was created a few years ago as an important element of the restoration of the hill called Zniesienie (353 m above sea level), the name of which, according to old sources, derives from the defeat, or "abolition" of the Tartars attacking Przemyśl here. Zniesienie is the easternmost part of the Przemyśl Foothills and the entire Western Carpathians. The amphitheater is located in the area of Fort XVI “Zniesienie”, dominating over the city, of the inner ring of the Przemyśl Fortress, whose embankments were built in its present shape after 1878. It is a place of open-air concerts, cultural and tourist events. Right next to it, there is a convenient path to the mysterious Tatar Mound.
