The Death wall on the so called Lesser Square in Zasanie was a place where on the 31st December 1943 the Germans executed 10 polish hostages as a revenge for shooting a post-office clerk and a gestapo agent, Stanisław Szajna, by an underground organization on the 28th December 1943.
